About Egiate (collegiate)
- Finding the right school is about environment, location and academics.
- Egiate is the only location-based higher ed search tool bringing over 4800 schools on a Map (and in many cases 3D) and iPhone to recruits around the globe. At no cost.
- We poked around hundreds of school maps and identified the opportunity to build an interactive site where all schools can be found based on location, academics, weather, activities, and more.
- So, we spent the last year researching, coding, designing, conducting focus groups, speaking with schools, and developing what may be the most unique higher ed search tool in existence (at least that's what schools and recruits tell us).
- We hope you enjoy the site and always want to hear your feedback.
- Egiate is privately owned and built with blood, sweat and tears (of joy) now that we're live!
The Team
- Oliver Davis - CEO/co-founder
Oliver graduated from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs New York, with a major in Government and a Minor in English Literature. Oliver brings sales, marketing, product management and general business management in communications, software and location based services, Most recently as CEO and co-founder of concept3D, Oliver has been responsible for strategy, market development and sales including building name brand clients such as: Disney, SRI, SunPower, Boston University, Johns Hopkins University and others. concept3D is considered a market leader in custom Google Earth 3D and Maps development.

Matt's a recent graduate (Class of '06) from the University of Colorado's Architecture program and led all GeoWeb/location-based development for concept3D, including Boston University and Disney projects over the past two years. Matt's managed and overseen all Egiate development to date and is responsible for the product roadmap.

Mike leads all database development and iPhone development for Egiate. Mike recently graduated (Class of '05) from the University of Colorado Boulder with a double major in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering. Mike also holds a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Colorado Denver.
